OCTOBER TURTLE INC.

October Turtle Inc. was founded by Thomas J. Keenan and is dedicated to helping baseball public/media relations departments handle and deliver their statistics more efficiently and accurately. With real baseball experience and knowledge of the inner workings of a team, October Turtle delivers statistics solutions that will save public/media relations executives both time and money.

In his first position with an MLB public relations department, it wasn't long before Keenan realized that there were better ways to compile, research and deliver statistics that would free up several hours each day using the computers that were already in the office! Inspired by the prospect of getting out of the office within an hour of the last out, and sleeping in the next morning, he proceeded to automate the daily processes by using creative thinking to solve time consuming problems.

After moving on to other roles in baseball, Keenan took on freelance work. His first project was a small application for the Baltimore Orioles that formatted the statistics from the Major League Baseball Information System (BIS) and output them into Excel for printing on headers. This small application saved the Orioles PR staff at least four hours a day. The Orioles still use this application today (Map Turtle).

As of October 2001, October Turtle was incorporated and Keenan's project expanded to a complete product line.
